A long receipt with multiple repetitions of the words 'It's ok' and 'H's ok' written in blue ink, some words crossed out in red, and a small, faint doodle of a smiley face at the bottom left.

It’s OK explores reassurance as a private ritual of protection. A simple phrase, repeated often enough, can become more than language: a means of containing anxiety, restoring certainty and attempting to prevent an imagined outcome.

The institutional green background references spaces designed to communicate order, care and safety, creating a tension between externally imposed reassurance and the private need to feel secure. Through repetition, layering and partially obscured marks, “It’s OK” becomes both comfort and compulsion: the insistence of the phrase gradually exposing the uncertainty it is attempting to suppress.
